Goalkeeper Academy FAQ
Here under you can find some answers to the most common questions. In case your question is
not in the list, please feel welcome to send an email to [email protected] . Q: When will I know to what group my son/daughter is assigned for Season’s Goalkeeper training? When will I know the time and location of practice(s)? Once all participants are confirmed (August for Fall and February for Spring), we finalize the roster of the GK groups and communicate the information within about one week. Parents and players will have another week to confirm the registration. Practices for the Fall start in early September, and for the Spring in mid-March. Q: What is the structure of the Goalkeeper Academy program in each season? During the soccer season, each goalkeeper will attend formal goalkeeper training once/week. He/she will then practice two or three times with their respective teams. In this way, we balance the development of both technical and tactical skills. Q: What is the cost of the program? There is a $175 charge for the Goalkeeper Academy regular season program to cover for field rental and coaches. SF Glens players only. Q: Is the program open to non-SF Glens' players? Our program offers Season Training and Clinics. The Season Training is intended for SF Glens' registered players. We are open to accepting other players only when spots become available. Clinics are generally open to non-SF Glens players. SF Glens club members have priority and lower fees. If you know of a player who wants to try-out for SF Glens, please send an email to [email protected] . We will be happy to offer a time for an evaluation. Please be aware that there are League rules we need to respect, and that may limit what we can and cannot do with non-SF Glens players. Question not answered? Please contact [email protected] |
