FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

SF Glens has a financial aid budget available to encourage players to participate in the club soccer regardless of playing level and socioeconomic status.   The level of financial aid will be made based upon the need and because there are limited funds available, the scholarships will go to families who demonstrate the greatest need while a financial aid budget remain available.

If you would like to apply for financial aid, please use the following link to apply for financial aid for 24/25 season.  You MUST upload supporting documents in order to qualify for SF Glens financial aid.

Scholarship guideline

Guaranteed Financial Aid
  • We will offer 50% scholarship to ANY player where the Applicant’s household income is equal to or less than 250% of the current federal poverty level year 2024, as determined by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Federal Poverty Guidelines. The 250% of the current federal poverty levels are as follows:  
    • Family of 2: $51,100 
    • Family of 3: $64,550
    • Family of 4: $78,000
    • Add $13,450 for each additional family member
  • We will offer 100% scholarship to up to 2 players per team that meet the above standard and also participate in any 2 of the following:
    • Medi-Cal – provide current Notice of Action letter
    • CalWORKS – provide current Notice of Action letter
    • CalFresh – provide current Notice of Action letter
    • Public Housing Authority – provide rent receipt
  • This guaranteed financial aid only applies to Travel Competitive Programs.​

Additional Financial Aid
We encourage families to apply for financial aid even if they do not meet the qualification for above income guidelines and we also ask families to volunteer for jobs in support of club activities.   The typical volunteer jobs are as follows;
- STAR Referee
- Parent manager
- USL 2 games
- Admin work at SF Glens office
- Volunteer at SF Glens hosted tournaments, SF Cup and GGI tournament
- Volunteer at SF Glens hosted events such as end of year BBQ, Tryouts, etc

Volunteer opportunities will be communicated to the families who receive additional financial aid as they become available but families are responsible for taking the initiative to fulfill their volunteer commitment on time.  Please note that the families who receive guaranteed financial aid are encouraged to volunteer for club activities but not required.  ​
