Soccer is not only the planet’s favorite sport – it’s also one of the most powerful vehicles for positive social change. The third half is what happens when you go beyond - it’s about using the power of soccer for cultural and educational transformation. We design international, soccer-themed adventures to incredible locations that leave a legacy of lasting impact. Travel, play soccer, change the world.

The SFGE foundation, Glens 4 Good, in partnership with the Third Half Soccer, will be offering an amazing soccer travel experience in 2017. Costa Rica is a land of stunning natural beauty that is home to cascading waterfalls, mist-covered volcanoes and jungle-fringed, deserted beaches. It’s easy to see why this Central American nation is the birthplace of pura vida – "the pure life." 

But away from the tourist hotspots, life isn’t easy for everyone. Indigenous communities lack basic rights and representation and suffer from discrimination and lack of opportunity. You’ll join the non-profit organization SEPROJOVEN as they deliver vital health and social services to children living in indigenous communities. The program provides team training, competitive friendlies, cultural and educational activities and all profits from the trip will support SEPROJOVEN’s daily operations providing health and social services to underserved indigenous children.

• Join SEPROJOVEN as they use soccer to help strengthen cultural values and social skills, promote leadership, and encourage intercultural exchanges
• Experience Costa Rica Indian culture through language, dance and singing classes with the Bribri community
• Experience the pura vida by helping a local family with harvesting, craft-making and sugar cane grinding
• Trek through tropical rainforest to visit stunning waterfalls
• Make friendships that will last a lifetime
