 Tradition. Community. Excellence. San Francisco’s BEST SUMMER SOCCER CAMP is back! SF Glens Evolution will be hosting FOUR weeks of summer camps throughout June and August for children between the ages of 4-13. Our camps provide action-packed fun and tons of soccer, and are an ideal way to keep your kids active and playing soccer this summer. Camps are open to every level of play: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. For beginners, our experienced coaching staff will lead activities and exercises to teach the basic techniques that are the foundation of the game. For our more advanced campers, we will tailor specific sessions that further technical ability and promote tactical (game play) understanding. Campers will always be grouped based on age and playing level. All of our camp coaches are licensed, and include our Director of Player Development Shaun Ramsden (USSF A license); and Club Director of Coaching Mike McNeill (UEFA B License); as well as our most recent addition to the coaching staff, Mike Keller, the head coach of NCAA II side Academy of Art Men's Soccer. In addition, we will also have a designated goalkeeper coach at each of this summer's camps. Each morning, our goalkeepers will work closely with this coach in a specialized training environment that teaches all aspects of the position. After lunch, goalkeepers will then join back in with their appropriate groups for the afternoon session. Our Glens Evolution summer camps offer affordable prices and many different pick up and drop off options to provide you as much convenience as possible.  SF Glens Evolution Tradition, Community, ExcellenceEvolution Cup 2016 This upcoming Memorial Day weekend (May 28-30) sees the return of the much anticipated Evolution Cup and with the tournament falling perfectly in sync with the end of Spring season there’s no better way to kick off your summer. The tournament, which is set to host over two hundred teams, does still have a limited number of spots available. Summer Camp Registration & Celtic Camp Summer is rapidly approaching and that means that the Glens Evolution inaugural summer camps are right around the corner! Registration is now open and we are excited to announce five weeks of soccer fun throughout June and August. The summer camps are perfect for both girls and boys between the ages of 5-13 and are an ideal way to get your little ones active and out of the house whilst honing their skills. We are also extremely excited to announce that we will be holding an exclusive Celtic FC camp this summer. Coaches from the Scottish Champions will be flying over for a week in June to implement their style and help to teach our boys and girls to play the Celtic way! Spring BBQ SFGE will also be hosting a club wide barbeque in order to celebrate the end of Spring season. This event is an excellent opportunity for parents, players and our entire community to come together to socialize and enjoy some quality BBQ favorites. Fill in your diaries as the event is scheduled to take place on Sunday June 5th at Old Speedway Meadow in Golden Gate Park. The grill will fire up at 1pm and will go to approximately 5pm. We hope that everyone is available to join us as we look to begin the summer in style! General Club News With the current season drawing to a close, our teams within the club are looking for a strong end to the campaign. A special mention must go to our SFGE ’03 Black boys team that currently sits atop of the NorCal Premier Division West. With a stalwart defense that has conceded just six goals this term, the team has put together an extremely impressive 100% record over the season. With just two games remaining, there is a five point gap between them and second place Juventus SC. We would like to send our best wishes to all of our teams and players for the remainder of the season and we hope you enjoy the final practices and games. Also, a huge thank you must go to our families for all of your dedication and commitment that has helped make this Spring season a successful one. Please save the above dates, registration will be open in the coming weeks! Clinic hosted by former American professional soccer player! SFGE is also very excited to have the opportunity to have a SRT and Technical Mastery Clinic hosted by Kimberly Yokers, a former American women's professional soccer player. This clinic will be on Saturday, February 20th at Treasure Island. With the guidance of Kim Yokers, the clinic will improve players' technical skills and ball mastery through the help of the SRT program. Recently, SRT has created a ball machine that gives consistent passes at different speeds and heights to allow the player to make adjustments and learn proper techniques. The clinic will be broken up by age U9-U11 and U12 & up. Registration will open soon.
