Welcome to the Next Level of Development
The San Francisco Glens are excited to announce their partnership with Girls Academy, the premier youth development platform for female soccer players across the United States. This partnership marks a new chapter for the Glens as we continue to strive for excellence and provide the best opportunities for our athletes to develop, compete, and thrive both on and off the field. The San Francisco Glens have been awarded the Full Pathway in the Girls Academy (GA), meaning they will field teams across all age groups from Under-13 (U13) through Under-19 (U19).
Why Girls Academy?
Since its inception, the Girls Academy has been the leading platform for young women aspiring to play at the collegiate and professional levels. The league has produced players such as Kimmi Asciano (San Diego Wave FC), Ally Sentnor (No. 1 pick in the 2024 NWSL Draft), Natalia Staude (North Carolina Courage), and Brecken Mozingo (Utah Royals FC). With the San Francisco Glens now part of the league, local players will have even greater opportunities to gain exposure to college scouts, U.S. Youth National Team programs, and professional clubs. With more than 1,200 GA players committing to college programs in just the first three years, the league’s impact continues to grow.
In 2024 alone, GA players from 91 clubs committed to 378 different schools, with nearly 59% to NCAA Division I colleges.
